It occurred to me this morning while taking my dog for a walk that they also have a version of Facebook for all the neighborhood dogs. It’s the mailbox stations. Every morning, Kady Jo and I go for a walk and the first stop is the mailbox. We stop so that she can check out the recent “statue updates” posted by other dogs in the neighborhood and then she updates her status and we continue on our walk. Occasionally on the walk there will be random status that only she can find and sometimes she will just check it out and sometimes she finds a statues she must investigate for as long as I will allow her too. Sometimes she will leave a reply and sometimes she just keeps walking. In a doggy way kind of sense, this is her way of getting to know the other dogs in the neighborhood and keeping up with the neighborhood doggy gossip. What do you think the dogs would call it, ” Buttbook?” I wonder what she really learns about other dogs in the neighborhood on this version social networking?
